About us

Submerged AS was established in 2018 by the founders Lars Martin Sandvik Aas and later Håvard Lein Braa to develop a system solution for automatic counting of salmon lice and measurement of biomass. The founders have broad and high formal and practical competence with a trade certificate and a bachelor’s degree in electronics, a master’s degree in cybernetics and physics, and a doctorate in applied optics (physics).

In recent years, the company has developed a product portfolio with a focus on cameras and optical technology used to improve the everyday lives of Norwegian fish farmers and Norwegian fish, as well as help move the research front in marine biology.
